Funding ignites Passion Play

Following four very successful performances over the Easter period, the Moogerah Passion Play Association will begin works to continue entertaining and enlightening audiences into the future.

The Moogerah Passion Play Association received $2,750 through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program to help with the cost of performing drainage works and earthworks in the performance area.

President of the Moogerah Passion Play Association Ray Siebuhr said the funding would guarantee an even better performance for future audiences.

“This upgrade of our stage area will ensure the safety of our cast, crew and dedicated volunteers while also providing a great show for our audience,” Mr Siebuhr said.

“The Gospel in dramatic form touches our audiences, they gain a great spiritual benefit by watching the story as they listen to it and it positively impacts our cast as well.”

“Our Association does this work because we love it and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying our recent Easter performances.”

Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz congratulated the Moogerah Passion Play Association on their Stronger Communities Program success.

“The Moogerah Passion Play Association gives audiences an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on their faith,” Mr Buchholz said.

“I am proud to be part of a government that supports the initiatives of community minded groups like the Moogerah Passion Play Association through this grant.”

“I thank the Association for their continued commitment to the local community.”
