Beaudesert Golf Club today unveiled to the public its refurbished car park following a much-needed renovation.
Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz said the project resurfaced the car park asphalt, repaired the pavement and stabilised the driveway for safer access.
“The previous car park was in a poor state but this upgrade has removed trip and fall hazards for golf club members and visitors,” Mr Buchholz said.
“For Beaudesert community groups such as the Rotary Club and the Probus Club, the Beaudesert Golf Club is the pulse of this community – and this much-needed renovation will improve safety and access to the club.”
“This upgrade creates a more accessible entrance to the clubhouse which is often used for community meetings,” Scott Buchholz said.
“These works have supported a valuable community institution, which is exactly why we invest in these types of projects in regional areas nationwide.”
The $59,400 project was fully funded by the Federal Liberal and Nationals Government under the Building Better Regions Fund. This is an $841 million investment designed to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.
