The Logan Village Men’s Shed has received a boost to continue its work in the local community through the Federal Government’s National Shed Development Program.
The Logan Village Men’s Shed received $2,000 to purchase a new table saw which will expand the members’ current activities and allow them to produce quality products and community projects.
President Ian Bell said the Men’s Shed provided a space for members to connect and share a sense of belonging and togetherness.
“We’re a home away from home, bringing locals together to meet new people, talk about themselves, their problems and share their skills,” Mr Bell said.
“This grant opens up the possibilities for future projects, there are no limits on what our members can do and create here.”
Mr Buchholz congratulated the Logan Village Men’s Shed on their success.
“The Logan Village Men’s Shed makes such a difference in the lives of its members with metal work, woodwork, cooking and gardening workshops as well as IT tutoring and improves the health and wellbeing of its members,” Mr Buchholz said.
“I’m proud to be part of a government that supports the initiatives of community-minded groups like the Logan Village Men’s Shed through this grant.”
“I thank them for their continued commitment and service to our community.”
