Local organisations are encouraged to apply for Round Two of the Building Better Regions Fund, with applications now open for funding to support job creation and economic growth in Wright.
Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz said the Australian Government was investing in the local region.
“The Building Better Regions Fund supports local businesses and job creation, while also ensuring the needs of the community are met,” Mr Buchholz said.
“We are creating the kinds of communities our children and grandchildren want to either stay in or come back to, and projects that support future regional development strengthen our wonderful area.”
The Building Better Regions Fund has two streams of funding – Infrastructure Projects and Community Investments – designed to support the construction, upgrade or extension of infrastructure and community building events and activities.
Submissions for both streams of the Building Better Regions Fund close on the 19 December 2017.
Mr Buchholz said projects supported by the Fund could make a real difference in the community.
“Infrastructure investment, and planning and capability building are significant to improving outcomes of our local communities,” Mr Buchholz said.
“I strongly encourage local organisations that have a great idea to improve the future of Wright to apply now and make that idea a reality.”
