The Tamborine Mountain Men’s Shed has received a $5500 from the Federal Government as part of the National Shed Development programme.
The money will be spent on constructing a colorbond awning for the front of the building to connect the shed and the toilet, there will also be a concrete slab laid.
Federal Member for Wright was on hand to congratulate the members of the Men’s Shed on their successful grant application.
“The Men’s Shed Association has made some wonderful progress on the Mountain and is going from strength to strength with the help of its proactive membership and the Federal Government”,
“I am huge supporter of everything the Men’s Shed seeks to achieve as a pillar of the community and as a vital support system for men on the Mountain where men’s health and wellbeing is supported” said Mr Buchholz.
