Kooralbyn is set to receive a boost following the announcement of $100,000 towards the 2019 Arts Ablaze Festival under the Building Better Regions Fund – Community Investment stream.
Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz said the community-based projects were a positive investment in the region’s future.
“This is a fantastic outcome for the Kooralbyn Community with the Scenic Rim Regional Council receiving $100,000 as part of a total $237,600”, Mr Buchholz said.
“These projects will drive economic growth and transform the Kooralbyn Community for a week in 2019 into the arts hub of Queensland, ensuring that our region remains resilient and prosperous into the future.”
Scott Buchholz said the project is a five day arts event for the regional and local art workers.
“Artists, regional arts organisations and peak bodies will be able to network, exchange ideas, develop skills and foster collaboration through professional development, workshops and an arts festival in celebration of arts and culture”, Mr Buchholz said.
“I look forward to working with the Scenic Rim Regional Council to deliver this fantastic event in 2019 and turn our region into the arts hub of Queensland”.
“This is another great outcome delivered for regional Australia. The Coalition has a plan to deliver a stronger economy and more jobs and we are focused on getting it done.”
