Federal Member for Wright, Scott Buchholz is over the moon with the announcement that NBN will be fast-tracked and delivered to our region ahead of schedule.
“The proposed work program for our area is very satisfying, after beating a path to the Minister’s door since before the last election. This news will come as a relief to many families, businesses and households who have contacted my office on this issue, especially those who attended the community stakeholders meeting I held earlier this year with the Assistant Minister for Communications, Paul Fletcher; including Rural Fire Brigade, Police, LCC, Logan Country Chamber of Commerce, Flagstone Community Association and representatives from the tele-communication industry”,
“My electorate was not even on the 10 year NBN planning map previously. This is proof that the Coalitions stewardship of the NBN will see more households accessing the network sooner and more affordably,” Mr Buchholz said.
Mr Buchholz stressed the importance of a world class, reliable broadband internet service for local businesses and households outside of major cities.
“This policy was always going to be rolled out to the major cities and population centres but I’m pleased that my colleagues are valuing regional and rural Australia as well” Mr Buchholz said.
Mr Buchholz was quick to reiterate his commitment to delivering improvements on other telecommunication issues such as mobile black spot coverage and additional wireless and ADSL services in the region.
