Children at the C&K Greenbank Community Kindergarten are smiling after receiving a boost through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Fund.
The C&K Greenbank Community Kindergarten received $7,830 to help with the cost of repainting the internal and external areas of the facility and upgrading the educational spaces.
Service Director Belinda Pattison said the kindergarten could use a makeover to improve the centre’s image.
“Greenbank is such a beautiful community and everybody knows each other. We hope this will improve community spirit and make the centre more inviting,” Mrs Patterson said.
“Everything we do, we do for the children. We take our lead from them, developing programs to meet their needs and encourage play based learning.”
Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz congratulated the C&K Greenbank Community Kindergarten on their success.
“The children here and the whole Greenbank community will benefit from an upgrade to the centre,” Mr Buchholz said.
“I hope the children will be inspired by their refreshed facilities to learn, explore, build their confidence and enhance their social skills.”
“I am proud to be part of a government that supports the initiatives of community-minded groups like the C&K Greenbank Community Kindergarten through this grant.”
“I thank the kindergarten for their continued commitment to the local community.”
