Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz today officially opened the first stage of new facilities at St Clare’s Primary school in Yarrabilba.
Students and staff at St Clare’s Primary School now have full use of their new building including general learning areas, an administration area, a library, a canteen, a uniform store, covered outdoor learning areas, walkways and amenities.
The Coalition Government provided $1,250,279 in funding to the school from the Capital Grants Program.
Mr Buchholz attended the opening of the new facilities on behalf of the Federal Minister for Education and Training Senator the Hon Simon Birmingham.
“It’s so important that growing areas like Yarrabilba have access to state-of-the-art facilities. Students and the whole school community will benefit from using the new buildings,” Mr Buchholz said.
“It was great to visit St Clare’s Primary School and see the new facilities firsthand and to realise the impact they will have on students’ learning potential.”
Mr Buchholz said the new facilities would be an asset to all students and teachers at St Clare’s Primary School.
“I hope students will enjoy learning and be inspired by these new facilities to put their thinking caps on and come up with great ideas to help make our world a better place,” Mr Buchholz said.
“The Coalition Government is committed to improving the quality of our schools and equipping students with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly competitive world”.
