A $10,000 Federal Government grant will help the Fassifern Sports Club upgrade its facilities.
Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz said the funding is being provided through the Government’s Stronger Communities Program.
“I’m really pleased to have secured the grant for the club that I know will make a real difference to the facilities used by members of our community,” Mr Buchholz said.
“The club is now home to a number of local sports including netball, cricket and football, particularly for junior participants.
“We know that providing a good environment helps promote participation in sports, which is good for those taking part and the wider community,” Mr Buchholz said.
“The Fassifern Sports Club is also a great local meeting place for the community. Providing these funds will improve accessibility and ensure all residents can benefit from this sporting and community hub.”
