A re-elected Morrison Liberal National Government will deliver $100,000 for new CCTV cameras to boost security for local communities across Logan.
Scott Buchholz, the Member for Wright, said this additional investment in CCTV was a key priority for the Liberal National Government because of the further benefits to community safety.
“This will be a massive boost for local council to roll-out CCTV cameras in priority areas considered to be hot spots targeted by criminals and vandals. We’re committed to new CCTV sites in communities across Logan,” Mr Buchholz said.
“Additional CCTV will help councils, police and locals in their efforts to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour and make our communities safer.”
Scott Buchholz said the funding for additional CCTV sites was only possible because of the Liberal National Government’s plan for a stronger economy.
“Our plan for a stronger economy guarantees funding for the essential services people rely on, including record funding for schools, hospitals, medicines and roads – it also enables the delivery of projects such as this to make the community safer,” Mr Buchholz said.
The funding for new CCTV sites will be spread across three Council areas, Scenic Rim, Logan and Lockyer Valley. If re-elected, the Morrison Liberal National Government will deliver these additional CCTV sites in Jimboomba, Flagstone, Beaudesert, Boonah, Laidley and Gatton.
