Member for Wright Scott Buchholz has joined Scenic Rim Regional Council Mayor Greg Christensen to announce the completion of new CCTV and lighting at Jubilee Park.
“This federal funding has enabled Council to improve this important public space and make it safer.
“These security upgrades mean locals can have peace of mind and use Jubilee Park without fear of crime or other anti-social behaviour,” Mr Buchholz said.
Scott Buchholz said keeping families safe was a top local priority. By working with the Council to deliver new CCTV and upgraded lighting, the community would be better protected and criminals would be deterred.
Mayor Christensen thanked Scott Buchholz for his advocacy and commitment to the Jubilee Park precinct.
“By adding lighting and CCTV cameras in such a prominent precinct, residents of the Scenic Rim will be able to utilise Jubilee Park as never before,” Mayor Christensen said.
“This lighting and extra layer of security will be of benefit to those looking to be active in the evenings and use the public space for community events in the winter months.
“This is another example of Scenic Rim Regional Council providing improved amenities in the local community and delivering continuous improvements for our residents.”
